Description

Our standard fruit and cage netting is a very cost-effective and lightweight plastic netting, designed to protect newly planted vegetables and crops from predators such as birds and butterflies. This versatile netting can be used to cover plants in fruit cages, over frames, or over bamboo canes, and can be stretched to fit most shapes.

The fruit cage mesh effectively keeps out most birds and pigeons, while also deterring mice, rabbits, and squirrels. The lightweight nature of the netting is particularly important for use with fresh fruit trees and soft fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, black currants, and blackberries to prevent damage. It is also suitable for stoned fruit trees like plums and cherries.

This fruit and cage netting is UV stabilised, strong, and durable, allowing for repeated annual use. It is rot proof and chemical resistant, ensuring longevity and reliability. The protection netting is manufactured from polypropylene (PP) meshes that have been specially processed. After extrusion, the mesh is stretched in both directions to provide an extremely high tensile strength-to-weight ratio.
